In-Game Rules
- Lineups of 9 players per team.
- No metal cleats allowed.
- An intentional bunt or half-swing will be called a foul (strike). Unintended mis-hits or check-swings are live.
- The infield fly rule is NOT effect. All pop-ups are live, whether caught or dropped, no matter the game situation.
- If someone is hurt or has to miss a game, both teams must agree to an equivalent sub. In case of injury mid-game, a team may play with eight players. The opposition will provide a catcher, who is not responsible for making any fielding plays beyond returning each pitched ball to the pitcher.
- After Jim Capuano reaches base, he is entitled to a pinch runner -- the last batter in the lineup who hit into an out.
- If the ball hits the fence on the right side of the field (1st base side), the ball is dead and each runner is entitled to the base he was running to plus one additional base. If the ball hits the fence on the left side of the field (3rd base side), the ball is live. If the ball goes behind the backstop fence, the ball is dead and each runner is entitled to the base he was running towards.
- On any ball out of play (home run or foul), no matter how quickly the ball is retrieved, the ump shall put the "backup ball" into play, with the retrived ball becomming the new "backup ball" to be rotated back into play the next time a ball goes out of play.
Scheduling/Tournament Rules
- Round-Robin Play: Each team plays four games, determining playoff seeding.
- Round-Robin Play: Coin flip determines home/away teams.
- Round-robin Play: Seven inning games (plus extra innings if necessary).
- Postseason Play: Nine inning games (plus extra innings if necessary).
- Postseason Play: Semifinals: #1 vs. #4, #2 vs. #3 (#5 and #6 eliminated).
- Postseason Play: Higher seed gets home field
- Seeding Tiebreakers (two teams): first head-to-head record; if no head-to-head game, run differential; if still tied, runs scored; if still tied, coin flip.
- Seeding Tiebreakers (multiple teams): Teams will be ranked based on performance in games against teams involved in the tie. So if four teams are tied, we will only look at games where those four teams played each other, and rank them by winning percentage in those games. If there are ties within a tie, those teams will be re-evaluated based on their games against each other, once the highest or lowest ranking team has been removed from the equation. If there is a multiple-team tie and they have an identical win percentage in games against each other, the next tie breakers are run differential, then runs scored, then a coin flip.
